Dugald Christie: modern-day martyr

How does a hero like this not get major coverage outside of BC? I'm thinking not so much for his own glorification but for the way in which his story could inspire others to follow suit in other provinces and countries, in other fields and professions.

Here I am a student, striving mindlessly towards a paycheque and stability, and then there's this guy, who "had it all" and threw it all away to bike around and help out those who society values least. It pretty much blows away everything we (Western Civilisation) hold on to for dear life... and yet is very simply all that Jesus asked of us.

But I often find myself wondering how Jesus' way could be practically applied in my situation, professionally, let's say; this guy's a lawyer, for ferdinand's sake! Just goes to show there's always a way to make whatever it is you're doing about others and about the less fortunate.... ouch

add to that the fact that he died doing it...
